A Gang Show is a theatrical performance by members of Scouts and Guides. Some Gang Shows have leaders of Scouts and Guides on stage too. Leaders, youth members, and parents help behind the scenes. The aim is, through performance, to empower young people to make a positive contribution to society.
Milton Keynes Gang Show over the years have visited lots of sketches and acts with many different memorable moments for both our casts and audiences.
We pride ourselves on having a mix of both modern content and traditional content as originally performed by Ralph Reader our Founder of Gang Shows.
Milton Keynes Gang Show is performed at The Venue at Walton High School in Milton Keynes which provides a fantastic theatre and suits the needs of the show.
Junior Cast members are the younger members of the cast and come from Cub Packs and Brownie units. Our junior cast members are aged between 8—11 and they form a major part of our show with there own item. Any juniors that are 11 on the day of the first show will be part of our senior cast. This can be discussed with our Directors if there are any concerns and they will be more than happy to support where we can.
Senior Cast starts from the age of 11 and there is no age limit the other end. We are an inclusive movement and we are happy to make reasonable adjustments to meet peoples capabilities. To be a member of MK Gang Show you must be in the Scout or Guide Association.
